Dolce & Gabbana’s runway show featured a lot of white. From white tuxedo pants to white slacks to white shorts. Stripes are also very prevalent. This show features everything from dress suits to track suits.

Louis Vuitton’s show featured a lot of blue suits, aviator sunglasses and men’s bags, including duffles, messenger bags and totes.

Prada offers darker colors that the other lines … browns, dark greens, navy and black. Again a lot bags are featured here.

Alexander McQueen featured lighter colors, tight shirts, some stripes, dip-dye and other splashes of color, including bright orange. Lots of eccentric shapes, designs and textures are evident throughout.

You get a few behind the scenes looks at Gucci. Then lots of color on the runway highlighted by aqua, sky and cobalt blue. Also lots of prints are on display.

Get your eyeballs ready, ladies and gents. The annual fashion show that sparks a manly droolfest and sends women straight to the stairmaster is just around the corner. Yes, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show will air Tuesday at 10pm Eastern, on CBS.

As usual, this year’s show will feature loads of skin along with some of the most bizarre accompaniments seen on the catwalk. Angel wings and sky-high stilettos are par for the course at this show, but expect feather skirts and crystal-encrusted extras to find their way on stage as well. While the foundational underpinnings such as the bras, panties and teddies are available for purchase, all of the outfit enhancements are there simply to enforce the fantasy element of the show. Said 10-time VS catwalker, Heidi Klum:

“It’s dreamland fantasy: sex-goddesses wearing amazing lingerie. … You can’t wear it on the street, you can’t wear it underneath your clothes, but it’s fantasy and it’s so special.”

Adding to the fantasy this year are performances by will.i.am, Seal, and the Spice Girls. Of course, tossing in two dozen of the most fit, glamorous, and gorgeous women in the world doesn’t hurt either.

During the show, the girls will decorate an oversized Christmas tree, and an inspirational choir is set to wind through the crowd. Just try to find that in your average runway show.

With a $10 million budget (the most expensive fashion show in the world), expect to get a play-by-play of all the action, both on stage and back stage. There are sixteen cameras set up throughout the Kodak Theater that will capture every hip sway and bosom bounce. In fact, the show boasts almost as many cameras as the Super Bowl. The entire show is performed and taped twice, with the very best moments blended together to make up the special.

The hour-long fantasy commercial will feature a knock-out 61 skimpy ensembles. If you tune in, do stop back and let us know what you thought. Enjoy!

Now here’s a fashion show you want to be in the front row for: The 2007 Haute Chocolate Couture Collection, which was held in NYC over the weekend.

Yes, it’s true. Models strutted down the catwalk in dresses and accessories crafted from dark and white chocolate, chocolate squares, and chocolate chips. Man, fashion is great, isn’t it?

Actually, the display was part of the 10th Annual International Chocolate Show, and not surprisingly, when dealing with clothing made out of foodstuffs, a certain amount of care ought to be taken. Case in point: The creation of designer Ortrud Muench Carstens, which was almost disintegrated by the sun. Carstens notes that a temperature of 65-68 degrees Fahrenheit is ideal. (Um, isn’t the human body’s temp 98.6 degrees? Thought so.)

But perhaps the wackiest frock of all was a dress made from cookies, modeled by Ashley Moss. Moss says:

“It’s actually amazing. It’s not everyday that you get to wear something like this so I’m really, really excited about it. It’s a first time experience to be wearing cookies.”

Seriously? From where we come from, you haven’t lived until you’ve worn an outfit made of cookies. Snirk.

We’re hoping that if this show makes another go-’round next year, the lovely PR people send us a press pass and an invite to the after-party…and access to pre-show sampling privileges, of course.

What’s a fashion show without models? Innovative, says Target.

Yes, the giant U.S. discount retailer, known for it’s forward-thinking marketing practices, will stage an entirely holographic fashion show on Tuesday and Wednesday in Manhattan. The show will feature images, which appear to be humanly and three-dimensional, strutting across the runway in their merchandise instead of emotionless, size zero models. In reality, the holograms may resemble real people more so than the ethereal models of today.

Target execs reason that the show, staged without a formal runway and models, will be more accessible to all fashion fans. A show like this is a fashion first; no other show has ever been entirely produced technologically.

The show will present clothes and accessories from Target’s men’s, women’s, bridal, and maternity lines. Designers such as Isaac Mizrahi and Liz Lange will be featured.

The show takes place on November 6 and 7 in Vanderbilt Hall at the Grand Central Terminal.

The event started a few hours late, which already head people irritated. Then when the show began, no one quite knew what was going on. It began backwards with the models coming onto the stage and waving to the crowd, like they usually would to end a show.

When the real show actually started, things got weird. The models had ratty hair and unusual things on their heads. The clothing was worn backward and hanging off. And the shoes … well the shoes had the heels in the middle of the ball of the foot, rather than at the heel.

To say the show was different would be an understatement. Though many thought Marc looked like a genius, while others felt the whole show was just a little too much.

Vera Wang Collection

Another designer that made heads turn in NYC was Vera Wang. Her collections are normally some of the most sophisticated and well received at these type of events.

Though the flowing silky fabrics of many of her dresses were beautiful, several people thought there were too many dark colors for spring. Others believed she was trying too hard to be a little “edgy” and should have just stuck with more classic styles.

British Designer Hussein Chalayan who is known for pushing the limits, is definitely living up to his reputation. Theses dresses have actuators built into them, that make the you know … move and … do stuff. There doesn’t seem to be much benefit to the transforming, but hey at least they don’t look like some bad animae movie.

The last dress is kind of interesting, the entire dress sucks up into your hat leaving you standing there wearing nothing but a pair of heels and hat. I’ve know quite a few ex-boyfriends who have enjoyed that especially if it came with a remote control, but we’ll save that for another time …

This model wears an all-black ensemble as she struts her stuff on the catwalk at New Zealand Fashion Week.

Her black knee-high lace-up boots are complemented by a hooded jacket and a umm … a ski mask?

What statement is this outfit making? Where could you wear it?

To a bank robbery? In a sandstorm?

Oh well … maybe I just don’t get it.

In case you were wondering, this outfit is from the Jaeha Winter 08 collection.

Ignoring the ski mask, I think I really like the boots. I would have loved to have seen them with a black or grey tunic dress and bright colored tights.

One of my favorite looks for fall is brights accessories with blacks and greys. Many women aren’t comfortable wearing a fuschia or orange dress, but would like to add a little color to their wardrobe.

By wearing bright tights, shoes, jewelry and headbands, you can get a little wild without it being “too much.”
