Super Model Claudia Schiffer is appearing topless on the cover of the latest edition of the German Version of Vogue. There seems to be quite a growing number of models and celebs who are willing to bare it all, overseas and on magazine covers, while the US version remains somewhat more modest. It seems that the advertising people for PETA are not without a sense of humor. After showing Alicia Silverstone naked and Christina Applegate in the nude, they have taken someone who usually works naked and put them in clothes. Adult Film star Jenna Jameson best known for her work between the sheets appears in a Betty Paige like S&M photo for PETA titled “Pleather Yourself”. I actually like the ad, although I’m sure some eco-terrorist group will have a problem with it, saying pleather, PVC and vinyl, are damaging the environment … sigh

A sports illustrated model wearing a baithing suit made only of paint

Most of women have a hard enough time being confident enough to go to the beach in a bikini, without being afraid of looking like a muffin topped Kirstie Alley on Oprah. We also hate the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition which always seem to find their way into our significant others briefcases.

What’s the latest … models without swimsuits, but body paint instead. That’s right 4 models spent 13 hours each while an artist painted bathing suits on there bare skin. While I do admit a certain amount of curiosity and envy at the ability to walk around naked while everyone else thinks you are clothed, I don’t think for a second I’d ever be brave enough to do it. Ford Models has announced their 28^th Supermodel of the World and Korean model, Seung-hyun Kang prances down the runway with the title.

Ford is one of the leading modeling agencies in the world and, marketing geniuses that they are, they came up with a perfect contest to increase their company visibility and brand confidence while promoting all of their models. The fifty finalists come from around the world and compete in what is basically an abbreviated version of America

According to Miss World Contest promoters Georgia Horsley who was recently crowned Miss England needs to fatten up because “the organizers of the Miss World competition are looking for a contestant with more curves to win this year”.

Glory Be, Supermodel Heidi Klum is the latest in a long stream of celebs and models to launch their own line of something…in this case, makeup. For Victoria’s Secret. Make sense, we ’spose. So here’s the good word:

• Heidi created these limited-edition goodies so that women can achieve her much sought-after red carpet and runway looks (hell, we wouldn’t mind looking the way she does rolling out of bed, for cripe’s sake).

There’s a picture of Kate Moss on the cover of i-D, a British catalog, wearing clothing from her fashion line. First off while I totally don’t get the Wizard of Oz scarecrow hair thing, Kate is totally kicking it in that picture. Second if Kate can recover from the bathroom illegal substances video/pictures there is the teeny weeny tiniest chance Britney can recover … nah who am I kidding …
