Old Hollywood Reigns at the Emmys

If there was a trend to be noted at the Emmys, it was the resurgence of the Old Hollywood Glam look. And can I just say “hurrah” for that! I loves me some gorgeous dresses, carefully crafted hairdos and screaming red lips. To moi, that is star style.

Here were a few of my faves:

The Black and White Elegance of Debra Messing

This chick is va-vooming her post-baby bod. Her hair has calmed down and her makeup is just perfect. A big thumbs-up all around for Deb.

Katherine Heigl’s Ivory Mermaid Done Right

She’s had plenty of fashion eff ups lately, but Katherine looks fantastic here. Again, with the red lips, I know. But combined with her blond hair and creamy complexion, she’s scored a heavy dosage of elegance.

And my total fave of the night, baby bump and all, Ms. Candy Man herself, Christina Ag. As seen below in Sultry Diva’s post, she’s gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous and I love how she’s working her new form. Right on, CA!

Aren’t the Emmys grand? There’s nothing quite like a little star power to remind us how homely we all are, eh? Oh well. I suppose with a hair and makeup team twenty-deep we could all be that goh-geous. Hey, a girl can dream.
