You know I’m old enough to remember when Madonna burst onto the music scene and my friends and I all scrambled for our rubber wrist bracelets, lace gloves, and over sized belt buckles to wear to our Friday night trips to the local roller rink … ah those were the days. But I digress, Madonna’s new album Hard Candy is due out April 29th 2008 and looking at the cover it’s a trip back to her roots. Supposedly it’s all about the juxtaposition of sweetness and hard style which is classic Madonna at her best.
So I can’t quite see Madonna being the fashion icon she was back in the day (because let’s face it not many teen girls want to dress like a woman over 40 no matter how rich she is), but it’s good to know Madonna’s not afraid to keep changing her style. I’ll admit to not being a fan of the country phase, but a girl can slip up every now and again right.
