Step aside, Demi. Looks like you girlchild is poised for fame as well.
Rumer Willis, the quirky girl with an unfortunate name, has been named Miss Golden Globe for the 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards that will air Live on NBC, January 13. True to Miss Golden Globe tradition, Rumer is the daughter of a well-known celebrity. In this case, two celebrities: former Golden Globe nominees, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore.
“We are delighted to have Rumer Willis join us to celebrate ‘The 65 th Annual Golden Globe Awards,’” said HFPA President Jorge Camara at the announcement. “Since both of her parents have enjoyed successful entertainment careers in the acting profession, she is doubly qualified to serve as Miss Golden Globe.”
Doubly qualified? Try doubly privileged.
Anyway, other former Miss Golden Globes have included: Passions star, Liza Huber (daughter of Susan Lucci), Lorraine Nicholson (daughter of Jack Nicholson and Rebecca Broussard), Lily Costner (daughter of Kevin Costner), Dakota Johnson (daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith), and Kathryn Eastwood (daughter of Clint Eastwood).
Rumer, who is 19, has starred in “Striptease”, “The Whole Nine Yards”, and “Hostage”. She has two films set to release in 2008, including a Sony picture named “I Know What Boys Like”, opposite Anna Faris and Collin Hanks.
