Just in case the annually-televised Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was not spicy enough on its own, this year things get even hotter. Why? Because the Spice Girls are set to perform, that’s why.
That’s right, what better place to launch the reunion of everyone’s favorite chick group from across the pond than at an underwear extravaganza? While we’re super excited about the return of Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and her cronies, we hope the Spice Girls can “bring it”, since Mr. Justin Timberlake rocked the house in a big way at last year’s show.
For those of you who are totally clueless, the VS Fashion Show is an annual event where eye-popping Victoria’s Secret models strut their stuff in everything from garters to angel wings. Feathers and dramatic accessories of all kinds are the norm, so no surprised faces when you see peacock plumes sprouting off the back of a bra-and-panty clad model.
Until 2005, none of the outfits modeled were available for purchase; the show made a conscious decision thereafter to feature items that would be available to the public. The show also showcases one of the most highly-anticipated reveals of the year - the multi-million dollar Fantasy Bra, which is also a mainstay in the VS Holiday catalog.
This year’s show - Spice Girls, angel wings and all - will tape on November 14 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and will air on CBS at 10pm, December 4.
