Strictly speaking, stilettos, named after the long skinny knives, are skinny heels three inches and over, although many people use the term stilettos and high heels interchangeably. Also known as spiked heels, stilettos are the most challenging shoes to walk in because the heels are so delicate.
The rules for buying heels are the same for buying any shoes: Do wear the right size. Don’t cram your feet into too small, too narrow or too big shoes. But they also come with their own set of rules: Don’t wear super high heels more than 12 hours at a time. Hayden Panettiere has a beautiful face and I normally like her sense of style. But I didn’t love her look at the 2008 ESPYs Giant Event held at the J Bar and Lounge on Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The shiny orange and blue print gown that Hayden wore wasn’t bad in itself, it just didn’t flatter her at all. In fact, it swallows her.
Her face looks absolutely gorgeous here. She has fabulous features and a terrific natural beauty. Since Hayden is just 5 feet tall, a dress with a big print like this kind of overwhelms her frame. Petite women should stick with smaller prints. She’d also be much better off in something a little more fitted and perhaps something that doesn’t go all the way to the floor.
An ankle length maxi dress where she could show off some high heels or even a cocktail length dress is much better suited to her frame. Nevertheless, she’s a beautiful girl.
Justin Timberlake hosted the 2008 ESPYs, which was taped on Wednesday, July 16th but will aired on Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
On Tuesday, Hayden played her first single - “Wake Up Call,” on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS-FM radio show.
“They’re a little bit eclectic,” Hayden said. “[The music] changed so much over the years, just because my life experiences and who I am as a person is obviously reflected in the music.”

Britney Spears left the B2V Hair Salon in Beverly Hills on Tuesday with fabulous new hair extensions. We have seen Brit with horrible looking hair in the past, so maybe she’s on the road to recovering her celebrity style.
Of course, she hasn’t pulled it all together quite yet. Her bra strap is falling down and her face doesn’t quite look it’s best. But really, let’s not nitpick. Her printed halter dress is very cute and her sunglasses look fab. And I love big white handbags - perfect for summertime.
Wouldn’t it be classic if Britney actually got her act together and starting looking and acting normal again? But really, what fun would that be?
Britney been so entertaining (yet sad) to watch over the last few years. She is going to be filming a video for a “virtual appearance” on the upcoming Madonna tour. So that’s why she’s trying to get her hair into tiptop shape. Good luck, Britney!

Clothing designer Sophie Young, founder of g=9.8, has created an underwear and lingerie line for both men and women that is really (honestly) made from wood. Is Charlize Theron Preganant? Well if the latest pictures are any clue I’d have to say yes. Charlize Theron showed up at the premiere of her latest movie Hancock with Stuart Townsend and was looking a little “puffy” in the belly. Nothing was confirmed or denied, but that’s how things are in Hollywood, nobody says a word, until it’s obvious.
You’ve gotta give credit where it’s due the Pussycat Dolls have taken a raunchy vegas burlesque act, and toned it down and focussed the sex appeal to stay exciting, but keep still Madison Avenue happy. Their ad for the Pontiac Vibe or their new Bally’s Total Fitness Commercial show that the sex kittens have what it takes to bring it to the table. It’s too bad Treasure Island TI couldn’t figure it out with their nightly street side Sirens Pirate Show, sexy pirates (both men and women) would have really been hot (and profitable) during the Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean era …

Tara Reid was out on the town at the Coco DeVille lounge in West Hollywood wearing a cute white mini dress. However Tara didn’t look as cute as the dress.
Obviously, the camera just caught her face at a bad moment because the subsequent photos, she looks much better. But I just have one question, “What’s with the hat?” Talk about out of place!
She ruined a perfectly good outfit by adding a colorful plaid cap. The plaid hat isn’t that bad itself. It might be cute with a casual outfit - a T-shirt and jeans maybe. But it certainly isn’t nightclub attire … especially with a white dress. I really don’t like her choice in jewelry with this dress either. The colorful beaded necklace, bracelet and anklet look cheap (though I’m sure they aren’t). Again, just a bit too casual for the dress.
I’ll give Tara some credit for her great shoes! Her bronze peep-toe pumps are really cute, even with her toes hanging off the end. This isn’t Tara Reid’s worst fashion disaster though. Remember when her boob popped out, showing her implant scar? I guess a bad hat and jewelry is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Taylor Swift isn’t content to simply take the country music industry by storm, she’s got her sights on world domination. Her next foray out of the country was a co-hosting gig on MTV’s Total Request Live, where he served as the first country artist to hold such a position. Even in the short period of time that this niche fashion line has been around, it has gained some serious attention from the media. Miley Cyrus career is clearly heading in a new direction with the photos from her new Breakout Album
Pictures from the new Miley Cyrus Breakout Album show that the singing pop star and her handlers are moving away from the squeaky clean image to a more mature, sexual woman. It’s hard to say that this a good thing considering the teen pregnancy of Jamie Lynn Spears and the Pregnancy Pact earlier this week.
