The fashion world is all abuzz about the synergy between Samsung and Armani in releasing a high fashion style phone. Personally I see it as a useless phone without a market.
When it comes to cell phones form should follow function. Now you don’t want your phone to look like something out of a Star Trek Episode unless you and your BF are doing the pointy-ears thing for Halloween. So a phone with some sense of style is good thing. If you’re that sheeple person chances are you’ve got an iPhone and are sitting in Starbucks crying into your double decaf mocha latte about the $200 you lost because you had to get it right away … sucker. What does the Armani phone offer that an iPhone doesn’t … other than the Armani name nothing.
Now if you want a phone that you can actually do something with, you know like with a usable keyboard and not locked into the craptasticly slow AT&T edge network, chances are you have a crackberry or windows smart phone. What does this second rate iPhone clone Armani phone offer you … nothing you couldn’t get in an iPhone, and chances are you’ve already clicked away and are over on TMZ.
Lastly what if you’re the kind of person who likes their phone the same way the like their supermodels … not so smart, amazingly thin, and incapable of doing more than one thing? Well chances are this phone is as interesting to you as that fat hairy guy you saw in the hot tub last week, and to be avoided like the discount rack at Marshall’s.
