This year it’s all about the boot. Almost any boot style is a must have, but the bootie or ankle boot, popular several years ago, is a strong trend.

   My current boot collection looks like this:

   * Black leather high boot with buckle around the ankle & 4 inch heel.
   * Serious all terrain goretex boot for hiking and actually keeping me warm and dry (although I’ve now learned that I get an extra 2 inches of height because of the grippers at the bottom - score!)
   * Fashion boot for when I just want to look like I can hike with buckle and faux fur at the top. 2.5″ rubber sole wedge

   Only one more fashion boot needed in a taupe / beige color and I can be done with boots.
