Levi’s: The original jeans maker

Wide-legged Capital E jeansAfter floundering for years, Levi’s, the original jeans maker has made a comeback with a variety of styles and price points.

Capital E, the manufacturer’s premium line, offers handmade jeans with single needle double-stitched seams in a variety of silhouettes and rinses from the increasingly popular wide-legged jean to skinny jeans to long shorts. Prices run from $165 to $245.

The vintage collection offers reproductions of classic levis from the maker’s archives. This men’s collection features hand-rolled 1955 501 jeans to vintage chinos from 1915. It’s a pricey line, jeans start at $154 and go up to $501, but these one-of-a-kind items are the perfect gift for the man who has everything.

Speaking of classics, the 501 collection features the original button-front jeans for men and women. Prices start as low as $48 for a pair of women’s original 501s.

Levi’s Eco Jeans are made from 100 percent organic cotton grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Prices run from $58 to $245.
