So the model in the above video is wearing the latest trend in swimwear a bikini made from a dead fish skin.
Ok so here’s the skinny, the fish, specifically a tilapia, has it skin taken off, scales removed and dried and turned into fish leather. The skin which was worth a few cents before is now worth about $1.25. The material is then made into a bikini with a retail price of about $75.
There isn’t to much to go, but according to the model, it was more comfortable than she expected. Also the material is waterproof and very durable, so you should get more than one years wear from it. Now I’m not sure if it’s just the model but the bikini didn’t seem to accent the shape of the wearer too much, and damn it if I worked my ass off on the treadmill three days a week to fit into a bikini, it better make me look good!
I’ve got nothing against wearing animal skin, I have all sorts of leather clothing, and if my current boy toy wants to show me his affection with a new fur coat, how can a girl say no? But the prospect of wearing a fish just isn’t romantic, sexy, or even slightly appealing, maybe we need a fish fashion board to start a pro fish marketing campaign …
So how ’bout it ladies would you wear a fish skin bikini?
