Britney Spears left the B2V Hair Salon in Beverly Hills on Tuesday with fabulous new hair extensions. We have seen Brit with horrible looking hair in the past, so maybe she’s on the road to recovering her celebrity style.

Of course, she hasn’t pulled it all together quite yet. Her bra strap is falling down and her face doesn’t quite look it’s best. But really, let’s not nitpick. Her printed halter dress is very cute and her sunglasses look fab. And I love big white handbags - perfect for summertime.

Wouldn’t it be classic if Britney actually got her act together and starting looking and acting normal again? But really, what fun would that be?

Britney been so entertaining (yet sad) to watch over the last few years. She is going to be filming a video for a “virtual appearance” on the upcoming Madonna tour. So that’s why she’s trying to get her hair into tiptop shape. Good luck, Britney!

Since being under the watchful eye of her Dad Jamie Spears Britney’s exploits have actually been declining, while those of us in the celebrity blog gossip world miss that, I do sincerely hope she is getting her act together. So that brings us to some actual REAL Britney Spears News! Since Britney has been occupied they cam up with a new idea for the music video for her next single. The song Break the Ice is the third single from the Blackout album, and the animation features a highly stylized animae version of Britney. From the What Are They Thinking Department, Britney Spears has announced concert dates for The Blackout Concert for 2008. Yes … Really!

Let’s recap, she’s had her kids taken away, has lost control of her finances, been in and out of rehab, had a nervous breakdown, been allegedly drugged up by her manager Sam Lufti, and Possibly gotten married to her paparazzi boyfriend, and what does she do? Start training to go on tour of course.

Considering her last outing on the VMA awards I’d be surprised if this lasted longer than the recently cancelled Spice Girls Reunion Concert.

I’m sure this is disappointing to all 12 of K-Fed’s fans out there but his reality show has been put on hold. Seems the whole Britney Spears in/out/back in/back out/sam lufti/adanad/mom/dad/custodian ship thing was just too distracting. Supposedly the show was going to feature Kevin Federline as single dad shtick, which well just seems crazy. Heck why not just drop those kids over on Jon & Kate plus 8, they would never notice and they’d probably get better care anyway …

Just when you thought it was safe to drive around the streets of LA and stop by a Starbucks or Taco Bell, the news is out Britney Spears has been released from the hospitals.

According to the hospitals she no longer poses a danger to herself or other people so they couldn’t hold her.

Her parents still retain conservatorship of her finances, which is rather amusing considering the story in the current issue of Rolling Stone:

Britney Spears showed up Mark Vincent Kaplan law offices a few days ago to give a deposition in her child custody battle. Apparently she thought it was casual Friday or something, and forgot to wear her bra.

At some level you do have to feel sorry for Britney Spears, she can’t even go to Starbucks without an army of camera toting paparazzi to capture the Venti Peppermint Java Chip Frappuccino Blended Coffee moment. However a Page Six report says Britney is in on it tipping off the photographers before she leaves her house

Lensman Alison Silva tells celebrity private eye Paul Barresi: “Britney is in on it. [She] calls the paparazzi before she goes out. We know 15 minutes before she leaves the house. It’s all staged.”

It’s going from being amusing to just plain sad and pathetic …

Britney Spears had a really really bad day yesterday, things happened pretty fast and furious even by celebrity gossip blog status. So if you’ve had your head in the clouds here’s a rundown:

Britney Spears was a no show again in court on Wednesday. She was scheduled to appear at a deposition in her custody case and she didn’t show up. There’s no details of her reason yet.

Last month, she claimed that she missed a court deposition due to anxiety and illness, yet she was seen out partying on the same night. I wonder what her excuse will be this time.

Her lawyers also filed papers on Wednesday asking to withdraw as her counsel. Reportedly Britney’s failure to appear was just one of many reasons why the attorneys decided to drop her.

“There has been a breakdown in communications between Petitioner and Trope & Trope making further representation of her interests impossible,” reads the motion filed on behalf of Britney’s attorney Sorrell Trope.

I think she’s missed court at least four or five times now in the custody case. I’m not sure how she can continue to claim she cares about her children when she can’t even make it to a simple court date.

Maybe it’s better that she just doesn’t show up anyway. After all, I’m not sure how well Britney’s no bra look would go over with the judge anyhow.

Britney Spears‘ crazy behavior continued this weekend. She started her night by hopping out of her car to take a picture of a roadside mural. When the paparazzi swarmed around her snapping pictures while she was trying to take the picture, the bra-less and disheveled Britney went into a cursing tirade.

In the frenzy, she smashed a camera but it was her own. She lost her memory card and had to return to the scene to find it. A photographer found it for her.

She took off with a photog, reportedly racing at speeds of 120mph. Later that night, she was spotted once again with the photographer as she wore her bright pink wig, leopard mini-dress and torn fish net stockings into the Peninsula Hotel. The guy emerged at around 4am and talked to the paparazzi as he smoked a cigarette.

With all the talk of Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy, Britney is still managing to stay in the spotlight.

Another baby is on the way in the Spears family, but it’s not Britney’s. 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s sister, told OK! magazine that she is pregnant by her boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Jamie Lynn is the star of the Nickleodeon series “Zoey 101.”

Jamie told the magazine that she is 12 weeks along and broke the news to her mother Lynne just before Thanksgiving. “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby,” Lynne said.

I guess Lynne realizes now that you can make babies before curfew too.

Lynne wasn’t the only one shocked about the pregnancy, Jamie Lynn and Casey were shocked as well.

“It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” Jamie Lynn told the magazine. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”

Though Lynne Spears said that Jamie Lynn has been dating Aldridge since high school, in a recent interview with the Associate Press, Jamie Lynn explained that she does not have a steady boyfriend.

“I kind of just keep my options open,” she said. “I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends.”

So, what will happen to “Zoey 101?”

Nickelodeon released the following statement: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

The show will conclude its third season Jan. 4 with a cliffhanger episode in which Spears’ character must decide whether to leave her fictional Pacific Coast Academy boarding school in California to move to London with her parents. The shows producer says filming for the fourth season has been completed.

The Dec. 31 issue of the OK! magazine will hit newstands in New York today and around the rest of the country on Friday! I would have expected this story to come out in PEOPLE, but OK! is getting some scoops in recent months. They had the exclusive rights to the Eva Longoria-Tony Parker wedding too. They must have a lot of cash available!

Britney’s having a real problem with the courts not being able to provide them with a working phone number and missing numerous drug screenings.

I think the courts just needs to try a different approach. Try offering free unlimited In-n-Out burgers and Starbucks coffee. Heck make it clothing optional while you’re at it, and there’s no way she’ll miss it, she might even show up early.

Well now we’re pretty sure we’ve heard everything. The great Heidi Klum, Ms. Project Runway herself, receiving (and evidently applying) parenting advice from Britney Spears? Oy.

But, it’s true. On Tuesday’s The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Klum said that Brit-Brit “explained to her a lot of things about diapers that she didn’t know.” Such as?

Pop Tart Star Britney Spears was spotted last night Sutra Lounge wearing a white mini dress with a huge pirate belt. Either Britney was a few days late for International Talk Like a Pirate Day or she’s early for Halloween. Either way it’s hard to say what’s going on in her head. Isn’t she in trouble with the courts about her partying, and drinking … and she’s going to clubs … sigh

Well at least this time she remembered to wear her underwear, which were powder blue if you really need to see.
