Just when you thought it was safe to drive around the streets of LA and stop by a Starbucks or Taco Bell, the news is out Britney Spears has been released from the hospitals.

According to the hospitals she no longer poses a danger to herself or other people so they couldn’t hold her.

Her parents still retain conservatorship of her finances, which is rather amusing considering the story in the current issue of Rolling Stone:

Britney Spears‘ crazy behavior continued this weekend. She started her night by hopping out of her car to take a picture of a roadside mural. When the paparazzi swarmed around her snapping pictures while she was trying to take the picture, the bra-less and disheveled Britney went into a cursing tirade.

In the frenzy, she smashed a camera but it was her own. She lost her memory card and had to return to the scene to find it. A photographer found it for her.

She took off with a photog, reportedly racing at speeds of 120mph. Later that night, she was spotted once again with the photographer as she wore her bright pink wig, leopard mini-dress and torn fish net stockings into the Peninsula Hotel. The guy emerged at around 4am and talked to the paparazzi as he smoked a cigarette.

With all the talk of Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy, Britney is still managing to stay in the spotlight.

Another baby is on the way in the Spears family, but it’s not Britney’s. 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s sister, told OK! magazine that she is pregnant by her boyfriend Casey Aldridge. Jamie Lynn is the star of the Nickleodeon series “Zoey 101.”

Jamie told the magazine that she is 12 weeks along and broke the news to her mother Lynne just before Thanksgiving. “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby,” Lynne said.

I guess Lynne realizes now that you can make babies before curfew too.

Lynne wasn’t the only one shocked about the pregnancy, Jamie Lynn and Casey were shocked as well.

“It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” Jamie Lynn told the magazine. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”

Though Lynne Spears said that Jamie Lynn has been dating Aldridge since high school, in a recent interview with the Associate Press, Jamie Lynn explained that she does not have a steady boyfriend.

“I kind of just keep my options open,” she said. “I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends.”

So, what will happen to “Zoey 101?”

Nickelodeon released the following statement: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

The show will conclude its third season Jan. 4 with a cliffhanger episode in which Spears’ character must decide whether to leave her fictional Pacific Coast Academy boarding school in California to move to London with her parents. The shows producer says filming for the fourth season has been completed.

The Dec. 31 issue of the OK! magazine will hit newstands in New York today and around the rest of the country on Friday! I would have expected this story to come out in PEOPLE, but OK! is getting some scoops in recent months. They had the exclusive rights to the Eva Longoria-Tony Parker wedding too. They must have a lot of cash available!
