One of the hottest fashion items this season continues to be the leopard print pump.

Leopard print is something that should be worn sparingly - a nice leopard print shoe, handbag or top is great. Wearing leopard from head to toe isn’t!

Here are a few of my favorite leopard print pumps.

Annie Garnet Leopard Pump
These affordable yet stylish shoes feature leopard print fabric, as well as buckle detailing across the vamp. The curvy stacked heel make them a very cute choice. And at only $44.95 from Zappos.com, you can beat the price.

Cole Haan Fiona Air Pony Hair Slingback Pump
I just love the femininity of the pointed toe and slingback style. These shoes feature cushioning from Nike Air, so you can be on your feet all day and still look chic. They are priced at $325 from Nordstrom.

Anne Klein New York Leopard Pump
These shoes feature classic styling. The heel is 2 1/2″ high - which is high enough but not too high. These are available right now at Saks Fifth Avenue for $240.

Manolo Blahnik Leopard-Print Suede Mary Jane Pump
These Mary Janes look fabulous in this hot leopard print. The rich suede fabric is very luxurious. You can order these at NeimanMarcus.com for $545. Remember that Manolo Blahnik shoes run small, so order 1/2 size larger than you normally wear.

Some are cute. Some are ugly. Some are eccentric. And then some are what I would term “Shock Value Shoes” - meaning the designer created them for shock value only. No one is actually going to wear these shoes.

First off, here are some of my new favorites that I actually would wear.

Now here is a boot that I find simply atrocious. From Miu Miu, these boot features python on the toe and some obnoxious aqua cut-out pattern throughout the shaft. Ugh!
