Get ready for the circus as spring trapeze silhouettes swing back in style.

Trapeze is in no way a new trend and has seen its share of ups and downs throughout the years. The first designer to make a huge splash with the trapeze was a young Yves Saint Laurent who took over the Christian Dior line in 1958. He created an entire trapeze line that just blew away the Paris runway elite. The design is based on a tight shoulder and bodice which gradually extends into a flowing, full shape.
