Leg Warmers from Hollister

We don’t mean to evoke nightmarish Flashdance images here, but guess which 80’s trend is making a monster comeback? Yep, legwarmers. Can you believe it? It seems so hard to believe that these puppies are making a second go-’round already. Thankfully, this time designers have ix-nayed the mega-slouch look in favor of a more refined cut. And yes, you’ll find all sorts of crazy colors and patterns, but those are balanced with classic knit styles and neutral colors, similar to the pair above from Hollister.

As if the return of legwarmers isn’t wacky enough, try finding a trendy shop that is not stocking armwarmers. Cut with handy-dandy thumb holes, these little wonders make it all kinds of easy for you to sport your favorite tees well into winter. They’re like socks for your arms. A weird but genius concept, no? Like legwarmers, you’ll find all kinds of styles and colors. We’ll note that the illustrious armwarmers thrust themselves into the fashion world as a big trend for tweens and teens, but are now taking up residence in the wardrobes of grown-ups as well.

Count us thankful that these super-trends don’t cost an arm and a leg (pffft! Couldn’t resist). Since a look like this might only be around a season or two, have fun with them, but don’t go breaking the bank. The items shown here are only $19.50 (for arms) and $24.50 (for legs).
