Gemma Arterton is the New Bond Girl

British actress Gemma Arterton has been cast as the latest Bond Girl. She is currently in production with Daniel Craig who will be reprising his role of Bond from the 2007 version of Casino Royale. Gemma is currently in production filming the movie which doesn’t have official title yet (it’s called Bond 22 and is being directed by Marc Forster). There are very few details about the movie although it’s said to be a sizeable role.
The role of bond girl has been a mixed blessing, in the past many Bond girls received a lot of press reaction but faded into obscurity. There have been a few exceptions most note ably Holly Berry, only time will tell if Gemma can break the mold.
